A restaurant near me makes Irish Nachos. Home made chips covered with PILES of Corned Beef.......melted cheese and green onions on top. To die for.

So what to accompany potato crisps?

- Salad.

- Ham sandwiches (as you suggest).

- A pint of ale (cask-conditioned, not keg, for preference).

I'd posted the above this morning. Later, for dinner I had chips (oven-ready ones)....

.... with scrambled egg plus lettuce, cucumber and tomato. And a dollop of salad-cream.
