last year when I lost 15 lbs living a monk life for 4 months where I just worked, slept, and worked out I farted ALOT

I did notice this. I was taking in something like 200% of FDA recommended fiber or more a day. But at the same time because of this I was rarely ever hungry. I had cravings sometimes but never truly hungry.

It was kind of embarrassing too because I just was farting all over the place. It was to the point where even I would think, "ok I am going to have company over later so I am going to have to eat normy food today so I wont explode in front of them!"
