Have u been to any PopEyes restaurant in the past year ? 🍗
Or past few years even. I have. Are they good ? Yes, they are ! Are they the best ? It could be ! I will say this up front. Do not go to this restaurant on an empty stomach. 🤣 That isnt pretty at all. I ordered their so called classic 2 piece meal the other day. It hit me unexpectedly. Whoever those cooks were, they deserve a raise. That's how good they were. And those fries, they're great. Almost better than the ones at Taco Bell. But not quite. Almost. I mean they are so close. Have you been to a [b]PopEyes[b] restaurant before. And if so, what do you think about this, in my opinion, an icon in the making. Comments. 🙂

@QuietReverie You actually might like that CRISPY fried chicken.
Many chicken places will not use the highest temperature oils to get it that crispy.
Personally I don't like crispy fried chicken. If it were up to me, I would use coconut oil, despite the lower temperatures necessary.
It's not much even up to the cook. Different temperature oils give chicken different textures and flavors. That's all pre figured out in such places. Even right down to the timing.
So as long as the cook can follow precise directions (alarms) it will always be the same.
Some places are even skipping the cook. They put the meat in and just pull it out.
But I used to go to Bojangles a lot, since they were right across the street from my former office. It was in a train station mall food court.
For my current office, there is a Popeye's across the street. Yet it is ghetto so I do not venture out of our gated and guarded office park. I just drive there. Haven't got carjacked yet!
@JoyfulSilence What about high income areas with high crime. Fancy houses with meth dealers and prostitution. Money laundering. Racketeering. Gambling. Drug smuggling behind closed doors. Bank theft. ID theft. Stolen cars. And shoplifting in rich wealthy department stores and neighborhoods. I see it every day. This isn't 1926 anymore ok. The lies stop here. ☺
I have to say, i don't often do fast food. But the advertisements got me. So when their new sandwich became all the craze, we stopped on our return from a trip to Detroit. Driving up to the microphone, i could smell the oil. We ignored it, i got myself that chicken sandwich. Took two bites and the sandwich to me, tasted just like the odor from the parking lot. The other two i was with seemed to enjoy the food. So...
@Carla Likely they needed to get their oil drainage traps cleaned out. That's a problem other than just cooking. I would have called the health inspector just because of that odor in the parking lot. It's backing up, if you can smell it in the parking lot.
That's poor management really. And they deserve a far lower health rating because of that poor management.
Always look at the health rating of any place. If it's less than an A, don't go there. Even in a vegan place. Rancid Tofu is nasty and dangerous.
