Because of yesterday's discussion I thought I'd show you my lunch today..

It consists of a lean hamburger patty, with mustard, homemade refrigerator pickles, grilled onions, tomato and sugar-free ketchup.
I paired it with a small apple, raw carrots, and hummus.
I could have bought low carb hamburger buns ,but I don't like to pay over $5 for a pack of hamburger buns for one hamburger.
It's right at my set carb count - so it's a little heavier meal than usual, but I wanted to assure the public that I'm definitely not starving to death.
Tonight I'm going to have my leftover stir fry with another salad.
Life is all about balance.

Bin that. It will raise your cholesterol.

No good for diabetics. Even the carrots, they are root crops.

Have a fish salad instead. The apple and yoghurt can stay.

@peterlee I hate fish, I do eat tuna, and this meal is an acceptable meal according to the diabetic guidelines.
I don't eat this every single meal.
The bread is low carbs and the meat lean.
I don't buy that carrots are bad for you they have never raised my sugars or cholesterol and the calories are zero.
They have lots of good vitamins and nutrients as well.
Lean protein, low amount of carbs, fiber, lean fats is a balanced meal.
