Do you like to eat at the table or with a TV tray?
I always sat at the table growing up to eat meals with my sister. She was on my left because she was left handed and our elbows would have collided if our places were reversed. I still like to sit at the table and eat dinner, my sons are used to doing this and we can talk instead of letting the tv do it. But in the future when they have flown the nest I will sit with a tray perched on my lap watching the telly. And I will enjoy that.

I think the world is changing, and not necessarily for the good. I live with a 44 year old and 14 year old, every meal time they sit glued to their media screens. In fact lately, they dont even sit at the table but watch TV , they sit with a tray of food,
@Uncfred Eating together and sharing even just half an hour of conversation should be something families enjoy doing together. Technology has a lot to answer for.
