Do you have a favourite continental dish that surprised you by how nice it is?

@BlobbyMcBlobface i try a recipe and usually change it a bit to my taste ( i do love spicy food), and each time it gets better

@meggie Me too, a little tweak here and there. I'm a chef and cook a lot of spicy food, i perfected the Indian chicken curry to my taste and family and friends love it

@BlobbyMcBlobface ive done that with a spiced apple cake and used plums and brandy and modified the cake mix so it doesnt sink, and it was the best cake ive ever made.

@SwampFlower I was wary of trying them because they're made with actual vine leaves but they're one of the tastiest things I've ever had

@BlobbyMcBlobface I like to eat them with feta and olives. I wish I had some now hahaha

@SwampFlower I love feta, olives have to be green though. Have you tried the Greek pizza? I'm not usually a fan of pizza but I loved that, it's covered with feta plus other cheeses with red onion and red chillies, I removed the black olives 🤣

@RosaMarie Those are the actual ones I was served in Zakynthos last week, meant as a starter but they filled me up

@Lilymoon I wish there was one near me, they're like gold dust in England. Luckily I can cook so I make up for it at home, also armed with a litre bottle of Ouzo from the airport 😆

@BlobbyMcBlobface Why are they unhealthy? I thought chick peas are very healthy.

@NativePortlander1970 They're made with processed lamb on a spit, oozing with grease. Chick peas are great, I eat a lot of Houmous with pitta bread for a snack

@BlobbyMcBlobface Greek gyros are as well, however when they're roasted on a rotisserie the fat drips out, it is healthy.
