It is good. There is just nothing like taking food straight from the source. It couldn't be more fresh.

@cherokeepatti: Yes, apparently those seeds help their immune systems to fend off certain diseases which they now have. There are bird watchers who come to this village once a yr for a few days to count the parrots. There are no more than 10 left in this area and no more than 1000 countrywide. Soon they will be gone.

@Wraithorn: Can't people plant more of those trees or does it take too long?

@cherokeepatti: I don't know all the details but apparently it is a slow growing tree. The wood is also sought after for furniture etc. so they get cut down. Also when so many people in the country are in need then it probably becomes difficult to justify spending money on helping parrots.

How do you tell a man who cuts down a tree to sell the wood to feed his family that he shouldn't do that because the parrots are dying because of it ? Difficult situation isn't it ?

Yes Mulberries are also good stuff. I used to feed silkworms with Mulberry leaves when I was a kid. I hope you get a good lot of Mulberries to munch on.

@SarcasmQueen: I live in the South of Africa next to the Southern Drakensberg (Dragon mountains in English). It's hot Summer here now. Lots of sun and thunderstorms.

It is good stuff. Earlier I had some plain double thick yogurt into which I put many of these Blackberries. It was really good. :-)
