Is orange marmalade just a British thing?

Anyone else like it on toast for breakfast?

American marmalade is full of sugar, too sweet. British marmalade is a bit more tart. Tastes better.

I make my own.
January is the time of year when the bitter Seville oranges arrive from Spain.
mine is a 'thick peel' or 'chunky' marmalade as I chop the fruit by hand.

@emmasfriend That’s the best sort imo. I love the chunky bits.

@badminton your right there old timer, we can even get some with no peel in it

@emmasfriend That sounds amazing. I buy British marmalade from a local shop because it’s so much better than the American version, which is way too sweet.

@bijouxbroussard I've tried that. It's pretty good. I'd like a little more tartness to the flavor.
