I remember it well, I also bought the 45 rpm singles 4 for 1.00 $, or 33 cents each if you didn’t buy 4.i still have some of those singles.

@TheShanachie when i was short, i got "oh sweet pea" my sister got "wild thing" i was maybe six or seven. I don't think i would have brought forth this memory and that of the grilled cheeses and floats had this post not shown up.

@Carla I got Wild Thing!!! That blue label, it cracked. Ok, Joe South Games People Play, Elvis Presley In The Ghetto and also US Male, that song called Lucy in Disguise With Glasses, I’ll keep remembering more I’m sure. Best deal in town on 45s. I remember getting burgers and fries and a coke, a few doors down from Woolworth’s was a drug store with way better ice cream and floats. Wild times!!

@TheShanachie um...lucy in the sky with diamonds?
Going to woolworths or kresges five and dime was a trek. We lived out in the way out. Town trips that ended at a counter was a treat.
I remember going to the little cafe at hudsons. I got my first cherry ice cream soda there.

@Carla it was a separate song, not the Beatles song but I wish it was. Got a copy of Zager & Evan’s Year 2525 song, Billy Joe Royal Down in the Boondocks, the Cowsills We Can Fly, some Motown label stuff Temptations, Supremes. Bob Dylan I Threw It All Away, Glen Campbell Galveston, lots of stuff !!

@TheShanachie how cool! I wonder how many times ive kicked myself for losing track of my records. Mine are gone but i have all of my mothers 78s. How does that work?
The year 2525...an old favorite. You listed several i have fond memories of.
