Which is better to u, Chinese or American food ? 🤔 🇺🇸 🇨🇳

Greetings ladies and gents. How many of you here like American food ? How many of you here like Chinese food ? Ok. Now both cultures have a wide variety of food and is very diverse.
But which do you think is better overall?
American food or Chinese.
Kinda tough right. I'm going with American this time around. And that is because our country has some of the best food and cuisines here
down South
Especially Cajun and Southern. Jambalaya, chicken perloo, and gumbo. Just to name a few.
What do you think. Comments. Best answer wins. ☺

Technically the Chinese food that I've eaten is probably American food 😋, or the American version of it.

So I'm not sure what actual true authentic Chinese food would taste like
@sstronaut Go to any casual Chinese resfaurant and ask for an authentic menu, I highly recommend the char xiu.
@NativePortlander1970 I often get Chinese, I'm pretty sure they only have one menu
@sstronaut You're always given the Americanized menu at Chinese places, ask for the authentic Chinese menu.
@NativePortlander1970 I will, but I'm pretty sure they don't got them
@sstronaut I have lived all over the United States over the years, EVERY casual Chinese restaurant I have gone to has had an authentic menu of traditional Chinese cuisine.
@NativePortlander1970 I said I'll do it, but you can't seem to accept my opinion
@sstronaut Your opinion means nothing when it comes to facts.

@sstronaut If you have a few Chinese friends with the right contacts, you can get invited to chinese restaurants where your friends order "off menu" special dishes specially prepared by the chef.. Its very different..😷
@NativePortlander1970 Oh got it, you are a know it all, whom thinks their opinion is a fact, got it, not wonder you are being so stuck up
@whowasthatmaskedman I honestly haven't seen many Asians of any kind around here other than Asian restaurants.

But when I worked in the big city, the guy whom originally trained me was from Hong Kong.

I know it had to be very different, but that's why I said I don't think I'd know what they are.

Other than I was traveling for work once, and went to a Chinese restaurant and walked in and it was like I was in a different world. Everyone was speaking Chinese, it look like everyone else in the building might have been Chinese. Looked like lots of people ordering duck. I walked out as I didn't understand a single word, and I was looking for something fast and that looked like a long slow sit and enjoy place to eat
@whowasthatmaskedman What's your favorite authentic dish? I love char xiu myself

@sstronaut Like I said, you need to know the right people..I am fortunate to have had that opportunity...😷

@NativePortlander1970 I have no idea what it was called ( dont speak Mandarin) But a whole perch prepared 4 ways, still on the bone was a standout..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman When I was a kid in the 70's my Dad was an RN in a nursing home, one of the residents owned a really nice casual restaurant in a Portland suburb, he let every staff member eat there for free once a month on a day of their choosing, I always got char xiu
@whowasthatmaskedman I think my Dad always got something like that, he loved fish
