Which is better to u, Chinese or American food ? 🤔 🇺🇸 🇨🇳

Greetings ladies and gents. How many of you here like American food ? How many of you here like Chinese food ? Ok. Now both cultures have a wide variety of food and is very diverse.
But which do you think is better overall?
American food or Chinese.
Kinda tough right. I'm going with American this time around. And that is because our country has some of the best food and cuisines here
down South
Especially Cajun and Southern. Jambalaya, chicken perloo, and gumbo. Just to name a few.
What do you think. Comments. Best answer wins. ☺

And what exactly is the American food?
Because burgers came from Germany
Apple pie, are from England.
Mac and cheese are French.

And can't think of any other food that's American.

@TheBatQueen hmm now your answer is making me question my answer
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@TheBatQueen anything made w corn like breakfast cereal or tortilla chips .
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
@TheBatQueen I believe Americans eat something called 'grits'?

Doesn't sound great.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@TheBatQueen Cheese steaks, tater tots, chocolate chip cookies, pecan pie, Southern fried chicken.
TheBatQueen · 26-30, F
@Zonuss pineapple pizza
dale74 · M
@TheBatQueen craw fish and catfish
@TheBatQueen road kill 🤭
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@dale74 Oh yes. And barbecue chicken which originated in North America.
@Zonuss Barbacoa actually originated in the Caribbean, favored by pirates, hence the moniker buccaneer they got as that was the name of the rough scaffolding made from sticks to smoke fish and meats to preserve them.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@SpudMuffin It's kinda like oatmeal but much better.
@Zonuss Grits are nasty, I'd liken them more to farina (cream of wheat), which I do like.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@NativePortlander1970 I haven't had cream of wheat in years! It's good though. Especially with eggs and smoked sausage. ☺
@Zonuss Definitely, or cocowheats with a cherry danish or apple friiter.
@TheBatQueen beef like steaks pork chicken seafoods can be classified that
Applepie is more american now. It didnt originally come from here but definitely American
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
[@rocknroll} uncut meat on the bone is a very American thing. Most other cultures pre cut their meat into bite sized pieces .
@TheBatQueen doesn't matter where it came from you can make it your own still.

Like America was not the first one to make pizza, but they revolutionized it.
dale74 · M
@sstronaut it's not that the food came from here we just made it the best
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@NativePortlander1970 I said North America. 😂 I believe that's what you are talking about too.
@dale74 Not really, I prefer original style when it comes to cuisine, modern chefs tend to over complicate dishes.
@Zonuss Nope, the Caribbean is not North America, although the bases of the islands do sit on the American continental shelf undersea, but closer to southern Mexico than the United States.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@NativePortlander1970 Wrong. They are in the vicinity and jurisdiction of North America.
America is America. South or North. 🙄
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@NativePortlander1970 North America extends until the Panama Canal. Central America is a geographical region like New England or Middle East .
@AthrillatheHunt North America is the United States and Canada, Central America starts at the northern Mexican border with the United States going south to the southern border of Panama with the northern border with Columbia.
@NativePortlander1970 Nope... just because you think it does not make that true.

I think you are confusing North America with Latin America... Mexico is clearly part of both.

The Darién Gap is a 66-mile break in the Pan-American Highway that separates North and South America
Central America
The narrow southern portion of mainland North America that connects with South America. It's made up of Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Belize.
