Portable Coffee Maker
I need a coffee maker that is either USB or 12v compatible.
I saw this on amazon.com
I'm not sure how many cups it can make before it goes dead, I usually drink two cups of black coffee in the morning.
I used to use Folger's Coffee Teabags:
And put them on a alcohol burning foldable pocket stove:
But the brands keep changing for the stoves (I've bought from four brands over the years and give them to homeless, they burn leaves and wood as well), but they only just barely fit Walmart camping cups, and the walmarts here stopped selling them. I went to REI and the metal camping cups were puny in comparison and wouldn't work.
I hate Keurig. I've tried several varieties at work and they taste like satan's bumbhole. I like McDonald's black coffee, can get them at walmart.
I didn't used to drink coffee or tea but needed a place to consistently study (I can't study where I live, I have always gone out to do it) and decided McDonalds was reliably cheap.... and then they became expensive. The coffee went from $1 large to $2 and even $3 at places.
So I just want a cheap mobile version I can run off a power bank or a 12v for a car. 90% isopropyl alcohol is what I usually use, and it leaves a residue that requires eaning, and don't feel like buying large cans od denatured alcohol to get a clean burning.
Small and compact is best. I don't really want a normal coffee machine running off a marine battery in my vehicle to make coffee. If it is like this size, I can take it out to picnic tables or sit along a river somewhere and make coffee.
I also own a UVBrite water purifier (costs $80) for final stage water purification, but gave my water strainer away to a hobo who needed it more than me (the UV light kills bacteria and viruses but can't filter out dirt and chemicals like a strainer can, strainers can get alot of bacteria and viruses but nkt all- my method makes my stealth camping swamp water more pure than what any of you can get in stores). So I'm used to USB charging to drink, and solar panels to charge them up. But I'm looking for a slightly easier and more redundant route when I move into a van in a month or two. I just want my coffee fairly cheap and no hassel and to be able to drink it literally anywhere. I don't want one of the climbing mount everest coffee stoves either. Something cheap and reliable.
