@Elessar I was looking for your comment. 😀

@Burnley123 Not sure who got pranked, it's not like any Italian tourist is going to step into a Pizza Hut, much less order the complimentary pineapple topping.

@Northwest The Italians don't take many things seriously but food is like religion to them. Pineapple on pizza is blasphemy.

@Burnley123 I mean Italians have been arguing amongst themselves over what makes a proper pizza for probably hundreds of years now so why not pineapple?

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow For Brits: food is something we shove in our gob or something 'foreigners' make for us. Have you ever heard of an English restaurant? Exactly.
For Italians: food is serious. They have rules and they have standards. If you don't abide by them, then you are a heretic.

@Burnley123 Been to the UK at least a couple of dozen times. With the exception of fish and chips, every single sit-down restaurant I've been to, is either French or Italian.

@Northwest Yes. Also, Indian curries are popular and Chinese food.
London has restaurants for every nationality.
We seriously don't do food

@Burnley123 I don't do Indian, too spicy for me. Never ventured out to Chinese in the UK, but that's probably because I get the real stuff, and I live in a part of the US that's within a short drive to British Columbia, where the actual authentic Chinese is.

@Northwest We don't have many Chinese people here but many of those who do seem to own a restaurant.
We have a large-ish Indian population because it was part of the empire and they can cook. I do like curries. I can't do hot curries. I refuse to do mild. So I get medium. Trouble is: 'medium' means different things to different curry houses. Medium can have barely detectable spice or be like a Molotov cocktail in your mouth. When I'm cooking curry for myself, I can get it just right.
Thai curry is nice be strong. Their spices are so brutal, you have to cook it with coconut milk to mitigate the brutality.

@Burnley123 My town is about 1/3rd White, 1/3rd Indian and 1/3rd Chinese. There are some "minorities", but they usually come into town for work.
There are plenty of Indian and Chinese restaurants. Every once in a while, I try going into an Indian restaurant, and without a fail, I end up with something I can't eat, because the waiter decided that skimping on the hot spices is sacrilege, and I end up eating the side Naan.
A ton of Sushi joints, but that's historical, as we had a very large Japanese population, pre WWII.

@Burnley123 Well we have "English Restaurants" but we call them pubs. lol. And honestly alot of it seems to be designed to soak up the ale. So I get your point.
