Wtf is gravy? I assumed it's their weird way of saying pasta sauce?

@Elessar it's usually pan drippings, or broth thickened with a ruex.

In terms of sawmill/white gravy it's milk thickened with roux and seasoned. Sorta of like a beschcemel but thicker and just little different.
