Looking for a Restaurant in the St. Louis, Mo. area

I'm looking for a nice restaurant in St. Louis to have an adult birthday party. Someplace nice, not terribly expensive, and preferably with live music and cocktails. Can someone help me with suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried yelp?

@nonsensiclesnail Not yet. I did find a site that gave me 97 restaurants in a particular area. I'm in the process of weeding through them now.
@sweetiepoo As you do so, read the bad reviews. They matter more than the good ones. If they are petty or old, disregard them. Then look at the good ones, if they are vague, disregard them. Also, when you find a place that sounds good call and ask about a birthday party reservations, if they are rude or painfully unhelpful, move on.

@nonsensiclesnail And the part not said here, anyone who has known someone who has worked in hospitality, you learn eventually people are very poor critics when they are anonymous and not face to face, so they become critical and look to give bad reviews as they feel empowered by anonymity.... People beat down even the most giving restaurant, for they can.

@nonsensiclesnail Thanks. I'm looking on Yelp now. I didn't realize I could filter restaurants with so many options! I will take your other advice too. Thanks again!
@SW-User absolutely right!!

@SW-User I'm careful with reviews. Thank you! ❤️ Funny that you mentioned that though cuz I took a Stats class in college and we talked about something similar. People usually do reviews/surveys typically if they've had a very strong experience, either good or bad. (usually bad though)
