So...what's the first insane thing you did today ?

Me ?
I went through my spam e-mails and found a response to a customer inquiry i made some time ago.

End result ?
I ended up ordering £20 worth of Marmalade from Scotland just so I could get free postage and packing.

That's 10 jars of the stuff !

@AntisocialTroll i always think it's a shame that when computer systems let you down it doesn't produce a certificate.
Either physically at your pc/laptop/phone or at least virtually as an email so you at least have something to show to those you were trying to pay.

@Picklebobble2 It really does annoy me. This was then of course followed by me needing to check my bank balance and make sure it hadn't gone out, my bank has changed to a paid for number and the freaking call cost me over £8, not my day today...

@AntisocialTroll My bank keeps threatening to close and move everything online.
I opened an online account the last time they threatened to do this but never used it.

Consequently I can neither reactivate it nor open a new one because their system says the old one is still active 🫣

@Picklebobble2 The nearest branch is 50 odd miles away from me, I don't drive so that's useless.

The thought of having my banking on-line gives me the raving heebeegeebees!

Quite how the likes of me are meant to access banking these days is beyond me...
