I had a hankering for some good Mexican food so went to my favorite Mexican restaurant and started off with what they call "Guacamole Mexicana" and tortilla chips... which they make themselves, and had to end up taking the fajitas home in a doggie bag.

Especially at this Mexican joint... it's my "Cheers" place. I'm like family there. It's a seat-yourself place and they all know me.
So much so that when they see me headed to whatever booth is empty, the chips, salsa, and diet coke is already on the way. Then when they drop off the drink, they tell me the order for the guac is already in, and ask which of the three entrees I rotate through, I'm having that night.
They also send me home with a to-go salsa and chips, plus a drink free of charge.
@metaldog It is a nice feeling... like being home but not. Just a comfortable warm place to go. My Indian place is like that too. There they always bring me an after-dinner Indian coffee free of charge.
You can't get that at a chain-type place.
It's also why I go out to eat often, and the servers know I'm going to give them a ridiculous tip, so that helps too😁
