LIVER… I wasn’t picky as a child but every time my aunt would try to get me to eat fried beef liver or chicken liver. I remember when I was about 3 or 4 her telling me to open my mouth saying try it, it’s good and she put a chicken liver on my tongue for me to eat. My tongue came right back out with the liver on it and I yelled “Dirty Meat!” And that was the last time she tried get me to eat it. When I was a teen she made a recipe for “Liver Hash” that my sisters would eat & say was good but I never touched it. Liver is liver no matter how you cook it and it’s dirty meat. The liver filters the toxins out and likely to have some in it. Besides I had a bloody nose a few times as a child and liver reminded me of that and I will never get that out of my mind.
