Could somebody/ PLEASE help me make sense if this: Why do restaurants print tipping guides on the bills?

Having a few copies of a chart handy for anyone who wants to use them is one thing, But printing out on the bill, :This to the penny would be your bill with a ___percent tip" and 18 percent being the lowest amount mentioned is BEYOND TACKY.
