How much is your drink in a bar cost now?

This isn't my receipt, but one I saw on facebook. It is about $88 or £70.

I was in Germany, Switzerland and France for two weeks (vacations). Prices are going through the roof everywhere. Even in France. In Paris I ordered a beer at a simple couscous restaurant near Pt de Clignancourt (in the north, where it's cheaper than downtown) and it cost EUR 10! (= $10 for a beer!!)
In Geneva I was at a street café and I drank two or three cups of coffee while enjoying the view on Lake Geneva (just black coffee, nothing fancy), and I was billed almost EUR 30 😕

@helenS So I bought two lattes and two bits of brownie in our local bakers/cafe this morning £9. I'll not complain about UK prices. Ok so the outlook was a dull 1970s shopping centre not Lake Geneva with the fountain but...

@OldBrit GBP 9 is a reasonable price I'd say.
Yes the Lake Geneva fountain was fun but it did not improve the taste of my coffee in any way.

@helenS £9 is good around here but that's a cheap cafe - normally I'd expect £14 - 15 for that I suppose.
