Everyone always compliments the smell of my lunch

Usually it’s my colleagues going oooo what have you got today then so I let them know what the dish is. The other day I brought in a sandwich and my colleague was like oh that’s boring, you usually have some wonderful smelling food that I want to eat, and I had to let her know this was not just any sandwich but a super special cheese and ham salad with my secret recipe pickleaise enclosed within its wheaty flaps.

But a customer came in today, we’d already talked about me being on lunch between a certain time and she was like, oh I’ll try not to bother you, but lo and behold as customer services go, somethings get delayed so she ended up coming in whilst I was stuffing my face with my lunch. She apologised for disturbing me and I was like it’s not a problem at all and she goes, whatever you’re eating smells absolutely lovely, so I let her know it was a Greek lamb pasta bake and she was practically salivating on the desk 😂 I gave her the recipe so she could have a go herself.

It’s nice to receive compliments, I said to my special friend colleague I’ll bring her in a portion of something one of these days. She just buys sainsburys sandwiches all the time and I can’t flipping stand supermarket sandwiches
