Grits. With butter, sugar and cream. Yay or Nay? Or do you prefer savory cheese grits? Or skip them all together?

This southern girl loves her grits - both sweet and savory.

Love grits both ways. Have you had them made italian style? Chicken broth instead of water or milk and parmesan instead of cheddar. They call it polenta if you look for a recipe

@Bobby1123422 I normally use polenta instead of the traditional white grits. I have had them fixed similarly (restaurant). They were good! I'll have to see if I can make them at home sometime!
@LadyBronte yeah im not a fan of hominy

@Bobby1123422 Some grits are made from hominy, but not all. There's also no similarity between grits and hominy in taste or texture.
@LadyBronte i decided to try hominy grits again and was surprised i liked it this time around. Lastvtime i just used sugar, this time cheese. Even made cornbread with it. I still prefer yellow but now i know i mustvhave done something wrong those years ago

@Bobby1123422 Nice. Tastes change through the years, maybe that's the difference.
