Hot dogs are sandwiches or else hoagies aren't sandwiches.

I argue that if we accept open face sandwiches we must inclide pizza among the sandwiches.
A chip in salsa is not an open faced sandwich because it gets ingredients on both sides. Thus, lasagna isn't a sandwich despite having layers of carbs because you need a fork to eat the lasagna.
This leads to an addendum to pizza: deep dish pizza is not a sandwich. A sandwich needs to be something you can pick up with your hands and eat.
Therefore not all burritos are sandwiches but many of them are.
In the end, all recipes are variations on the casserole. This is a hill I am willing to die on.
