Have lots of rice and legumes of all kinds now. I do suggest any to microwaving the rice. It kills any weevals and such from hatching.
One minute per pound is fine.
Same goes for instant potato flakes.
On the condensed milk. Mix it with regular frozen milk. Thats regular milk not 2% fat milk. About a ⅓ mixture to stretch out the regular milk. Condensed milk even stretched out with water still doesn't taste right.
If you have 2% fat milk though add a bit of butter. Butter freezes nicely right in the package.
@SweetMae Good idea. I think we could sustain for about 3 or 4 weeks in an emergency food crisis, It may be a good idea to stretch that with a stockpile of rice, beans and and other foods with long shelf lives.
I'm surprised that this hasn't already happened. I'm also surprised that other workgroups haven't yet pulled wildcat strikes, blue flu call-ins, or work stoppage to protest or call attention to what they see as unfair or target mistreatment on themselves.
@Heartlander I have read that 8 trucking companies in Missouri have gone out of business in Missouri due to not being profitable because of diesel costs. A lot of food gets shipped from Missouri. There are canneries, stockyards, pork production, fruit orchards etc there. The last video that I watched watched about a California revealed that 70,000 truck drivers are leaving the state to work elsewhere because California has passed a law stating that truck drivers have to work for a business or corporation, no more independent truck drivers. They say they won’t haul anything to California either
@TheDisciplinarian Yeah I have been buying those….At my age I need calcium, magnesium, potassium and Vitamin D especially and one a day vitamins. The minerals will help with leg cramps and if you don't have milk for awhile the extra calcium is good
@cherokeepatti i take 25 various vitimin and supplements pilld daily Even general as well as cardiologist is Impressed as to what i take..Noting that Dispite my still excessive weight..siting my various vitimans but especially suppliments as to why i have at my age and excessive weight... yet have Zero Blockages
@InHeaven well I have other stuff like Mac& cheese mixes for the boy, boxes of oatmeal packets plus plain oatmeal, flours & cornmeal to make bread, jellies, peanut butter, olive oil, baking items
@NoGamesTolerated I told the boy (he is 14) that he will have two choices….beans & rice or rice& beans. He said he doesn’t care as long as I have herbs and spices to season it up and make different dishes…and Sriracha sauce.
