Also developed a deep appreciation of my slow cooker in the process... but I've mostly used it for pasta sauces along the way, you can always dive in and taste a sauce you are cooking up.

It's another thing to season to taste while you are cooking with a slow cooker while cooking meat. The tidy part about food safety, right?
