Many thanks for your comment. Skirt beef is pretty cheap where I live; certainly comparable to casserole or stewing beef. The thing that makes it cheap, in my opinion at least, is that it's never available pre-packed in a supermarket; you have to ask a butcher for it specifically.

It all got eaten too🙂
