Do You Use Prepared Jar Sauces To Make Main Dishes?

I bought a jar of Butter Chicken sauce from Aldi because I was hungry for Indian food and had been craving it. The directions said to cube up chicken, season with salt & pepper and fry it in oil & then add sauce. When I tasted the sauce it was bland & sweet. So I added 3 tablespoons of curry paste, some more salt, a spoon full of ginger powder & a fried chopped up onion….it tasted like Butter Chicken after I did all of that but thinking next time I will just make it from scratch.

I stick to the same brand of spaghetti sauce.
I usually make all my other ones.
And condensed creamed soup is banned from my house.
I just make a white sauce and add mushrooms or celery to it.
