Do You Use Prepared Jar Sauces To Make Main Dishes?

I bought a jar of Butter Chicken sauce from Aldi because I was hungry for Indian food and had been craving it. The directions said to cube up chicken, season with salt & pepper and fry it in oil & then add sauce. When I tasted the sauce it was bland & sweet. So I added 3 tablespoons of curry paste, some more salt, a spoon full of ginger powder & a fried chopped up onion….it tasted like Butter Chicken after I did all of that but thinking next time I will just make it from scratch.

I do, but only because I’m crap at cooking. Aldi do curry sauces that come with a little pot of spices to marinade the meat first - they’re quite tasty

@SW-User I haven’t seen any sauces with marinade spice packets.

@cherokeepatti they’re like little plastic tubs that sit on top of the lid - I’d recommend them…but I will warn you that I don’t have the most sophisticated palette 😂
