First time I ate one, I ate it like a banana. Big mistake. Then I learned out to cook them. They are great!

@luv2fish Thats funny. Lol If they are very ripe nearly black on the outside you can eat them raw but its not too good still. My husband grew up on plantain farms so they occasionally have eaten them raw but its not the norm for sure.
