Do you use honey regularly?

At the grocery store today, I bought some organic honey from the markdown section [there was a cart full of it] and upon reviewing my receipt, saw that I paid .01 for it. Yes, one cent!

I'm tempted to go buy more, but I only use honey for my tea, which I have 2 or 3 times a week. Would you go back to buy more?

I would test it first to see if it was real honey. I bought 4 bottles of honey at Walgreens one time on sale. Got home & opened one & tasted it. Nothing like honey. Then I did a little test. Put some cold water in a clear glass and dropped a spoonful of it in the glass & put it on the windowsill. Watched it dissolve right before my eyes in less than a minute. Real honey has to be stirred and stirred to dissolve in a cup of hot tea. It also will crystallize if it get cold or refrigerated, I didn’t have time to do that little test so I took all 4 bottles back & got a refund. They were still selling it and advertising it as honey a couple months later. Kind of soured me on Walgreens.

@strongbow I buy local honey in glass jars. Found those to be real honey.

@cherokeepatti Yeah local is your best bet, luckily theres a few farms around here that sell it directly from their beehives, its costly but its the real deal

@strongbow I just write it off as natural medicine since it’s good for seasonal allergies.
