No, it's not that. Your neurons get used to the caffeine. It's a drug and like other drugs you need a higher dose to feel the same effect because your body builds up tolerance over time. The only way to reset this tolerance is to stop using it for some time.
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic Yesterday morning I felt a stronger impact on my system than I've felt this afternoon.

@scooogy Maybe you didnt use the same dose, or you consumed something else that has caffeine that you didn't know or something else caused it.
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic I always put water to it to cool it down so I can drink it sooner. In the mornings there sometimes is some coffee left from the day before, this is while meanwhile I prepare two cups at once, to have one cool down by itself while drinking from the other one with a bit of water.

@scooogy I dont think such small irregularities matter that much, I dont know what are you concerned over.
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic I have a feeling like drinking coffee with water added is a step back in what coffee is supposed to do with one's system.

@scooogy And do what? eat the ground coffee instead? :D Water is just a solvent, it's like a mass to disperse the coffee particles. It doesnt do anything to the coffee.
