@popmol It's a popular french saying, which translates a bit like:

"We don't discuss/dispute tastes and colours"

In het Nederlands zou dit een "dooddoener" zijn, een zin waarmee het gesprek stopt omdat je niet verder kunt discussiëren. Er is namelijk geen objectieve maatstaf om te zeggen wat lekker is, of welke kleur je leuk vindt. Deze dingen zijn persoonlijk, en niemand kan zeggen dat jou keuze beter of slechter is. Juist zoals jij niet kan zeggen dat jou keuze beter of slechter is. Smaken en kleuren zijn persoonlijk en er bestaat geen hyrarchie behalve de persoonlijke hyrarchie waar niemand anders in dit geval bij moet rekening houden tenzij jullie samen een restaurant gaan doen ofzo...
