Why is filet mignon so expensive??

I know it’s a small part of the cow, but it is so flavorless. Very tender, but other than that I don’t get it!!

If you have to ask, you, sadly have not had it the correct way. If done correctly it is one of the best things in the world. Melts in your mouth like butter, the taste is so divine you need nothing but salt and pepper.

I’ve had it a few times , and it is certainly not worth it. Then again people like their steak past medium rare. Guess it’s personal preference. @dragonfly46
