Why is filet mignon so expensive??

I know it’s a small part of the cow, but it is so flavorless. Very tender, but other than that I don’t get it!!

Small cut of high tenderness and naturally marbled.
I prefer delmonico or strip but a proper filet from high quality beef isn't flavorless if prepared correctly.

Yea. Just not a fan. Definitely a Del Monico/ ribeye @MethDozer
