Are you willing to share your CHILI recipie here?

In my new 2020 Farmer’s Almanac.
Bacon Sausage Chili
Surprisingly sweet and spicy.
Substitute any sausage you like if you can’t find Bacon Sausage.
10 - 12 servings.

INGREDIENTS
3 Tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, diced
1 carrot, shredded
1 bell pepper, diced
1 lb ground beef
1 lb bacon sausage
1 jalapeño, stem removed, seeded, finely diced
3 - 4 Tbsp masa (corn flour)
3 - 4 Tbsp chili powder
1 - 2 Tbsp paprika
1 - 2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp cayenne pepper
Sriracha sauce to taste
½ Cup STRONG COFFEE
1 pip (break off) chocolate (from a Hershey Bar)
1 (15oz) Can diced tomatoes WITH juice
1 (15oz) Can tomato sauce
1 (15oz) Can dark red kidney beans, drained & rinsed
1 (15oz) Can cannelloni (white) kidney beans, drained & rinsed
1 (15oz) Can corn, drained
1 - 2 Cups beef broth/stock
salt & pepper (ground black) to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
Heat olive oil in a soup pan, medium heat. Add: garlic,onions,carrots,bell pepper and cook until translucent. Add beef & sausage and cook until browned. Add: jalapeño, masa, chili powder,paprika, cumin, oregano, and sriracha sauce and cook for 1 - 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 - 30 minutes. Season with salt & pepper.

you could use chorizo in place of the bacon sausage
also the Mexican chocolate is also a good replacement for the Hershey's, you will have to grate it though

@Niburu Thanks.. Sounds like you are a true southerner...
I am very familiar with chorizo, but it is hard to find here in Michigan. I lived in Austin Texas for 35 yrs and had lots of different chili's cooked, but this one sounds very different... I have not tried it yet...

@polyandrym66 I am now a southerner by choice, I was born and raised on Long Island, NY.
It was a great pace to grow up but you can't afford to live there after college anymore, even the Upstate has been ruined.
I did cook professional for about 15 years.
My chili's tend to come out more like a mole' sauce with meat in it.
