Do you think that, as a society, we’re addicted to overeating?

I think it comes down just the absolute abundance of food for how cheap it is. It's also pleasurable. In the west our lives are devoid of any real purpose or meaning so we eat, drink, swallow, snort and fuck pretty much anything we can get our hands on to give us that little dopamine rush to help us stagger through our turgid existence until the sweet release of death.
