Why is it that SOME food chains decide to ONLY be in certain areas of the country?

Example: Zaxby's... NO WHERE near where I live now, closest one is an 8 hour trip to Kentucky. 😂

Because some places originally were created in specific areas.

@SW-User but why not venture to other parts of the country? not just one said area? 🤔

Because some things are regional I guess Lol. Idk. Like in the south you can’t get the same quality of food in the north east. Like how up in Maine and New Hampshire I bet you have chain restaurants you can’t find in California
