Is it normal to leave boxes of frozen chicken at room temperature for 18 hours to defrost?

I'm curious because the customers frequently have to get refunds on the chicken afterwards. I've mentioned it to management and they just shrug it off as the way the kitchen lady does things.

@butterflymind1 I can't report them because I'd lose my job. But I could mention it to a manager or supervisor again. They shouldn't be so afraid of the kitchen lady.

@pagandad It's Canada. They have pretty decent health and safety laws but some people manage to break them.
