@SW-User Could you make enough for $10 to feed $10 people? Maybe if you bought the meat on sale...Sprouts had ground beef for $2.49 a pound a couple weeks ago.

@cherokeepatti I would probably use elk meat (no cost, except the hunting of it) or,like you said buy on sale.I would make the beans from dry beans, because that is very cheap.I think I could manage it with a little planning.

@SW-User yeah and that sounds really good. Have had elk once and it was really, really good...better than beef or venison.

@cherokeepatti I think elk is one of the best meats too.🙂

@SW-User I’d like to try moose too.

@cherokeepatti I have tried moose once, but we really didn't know how to take care of it. We didn't skin it right off,so it had a sweet flavor that I couldn't cover up. I have since been told, that we should have skinned it right away, and the sweet flavor wouldn't have been as strong. The meat was somewhat stringy too, but all in all it was ok.🙂

@SW-User If it was stringy it would have been good ground up into chili.
SW-User
@cherokeepatti It sure would have been.🙂

@SW-User Chili spices plus a bit of fresh minced garlic might have helped cover that sweet flavor.
