Have you ever tried to sabotage someone elses diet?

I've been guilty of this in the past, though I got over this toxic and jealous behavior.
No but I had a friend once that tried to get me fat all the time. I never did understand why she did that.
@FinchFry I don't know why she would need to do that. She was prettier than I was.

@FloorGenAdm The only advantage I had over her was I made a little more money but not much.
Tracos · 51-55, M
Well..... I'm not skipping cake because they are dieting....
FinchFry · 26-30, F
@Tracos Not what I mean.
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
No I haven't. If it was a really bad diet I might have suggested eating more greens.
PixieParty · 41-45, F
No, but I've been the recipient of attempted diet sabotage. My parents mean well but sometimes the food they eat just isn't what I want to out into my body. I can do without the guilt trips. I've started to get a meal from home before I go to visit them so I can eat a "polite bite" and avoid the criticism. However, the past week my mom was helping out with meals (I'm recovering from surgery) and by Friday I was craving a salad.

No way! I hate when people try to control how I eat so I don't do that to them.
DunDunDun · 22-25, F
By like, giving them food without them realizing it somehow or by tempting them into eating something unhealthy? Either way is wrong tho and I would never do that.
FinchFry · 26-30, F
@DunDunDun Tempting, and yeah its awful and petty and something I regret.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
Yes, someone at my work did that to someone who needed to lose weight, there was a competition at work and he was trying to nobble the competition.

I am not immature enough to do such a vile thing.
SW-User
Definitely but that's an area i'll never go.
FinchFry · 26-30, F
You can't change the past, only move on and make better choices.
SW-User
That's right.
SW-User
never. i didn't even know someone might think to do that.
FinchFry · 26-30, F
@SW-User I've done some regretable things.
SW-User
@FinchFry we all have...

I sabotage my girlfriends diet all the time. Probably why she’s 100 lbs fatter than when we got together

Maybe be a decent person.

Now that I remember, Yes!!!
No. I wouldn’t do that to someone because, among other things, it’s a health issue. I wouldn’t want to be responsible for harming anyone.
@FinchFry That’s convenient, and probably true. So what do you seek in bringing it up here? Understanding ? Absolution ? The confirmation that others have been equally as cruel ? Because some have, and done even worse things.
FinchFry · 26-30, F
@bijouxbroussard Just curiosity, do you gain something out of coming at me in an accusatory and scolding manner? Does it make you feel superior in perhaps the same way sabotaging people made me feel? Please stop, you're making me very uncomfortable an nervous.
@FinchFry You asked a question and I answered it. You chose to continue the conversation. We can end it here, that’s fine.
DDonde · 31-35, M
Good that you got over that.
It's requiring restraint on my part to not be very angry at you right now.
FinchFry · 26-30, F
@DDonde This was years ago, I was a pretty shitty teenager. I've mellowed out. I regret a lot of things I've done.
DDonde · 31-35, M
@FinchFry Well, good that you've learned from that.

@DonaldTrumpet and from what you say, it seems like it's SOME men's natures to belittle and denigrate women :P
