Does anybody really enjoy eating hot peppers that give their mouth and throat 3rd degree burns?

Not quite that hot but I eat jalapenos straight (their only a 5 on a scale of 1-10) and enjoy habanieros and an occasional scotch bonnet and have even sampled ghost pepper (which is the hottest pepper in the world)>
