Why am I not dead yet?

I first started eating mussels in my mid teens on the beach in Malibu, California. I've always eaten them whenever I could. About 3 years ago I discovered an Asian buffet restaurant about 8 miles from my home and they have excellent steamed mussels. I've been going there about once a week for the last 3 years.

A couple of days ago I decided to go online to read about mussels since I've been eating them nor for about 60 years.

YOWIE!!! According to the article I read I should have died decades ago. These little crustaceans are DANGEROUS!!!🤤 I should be dead by now.

Now I'm wondering if I should stop eating them. Or, to be honest, whether I could stand to give them up after a lifetime mussel habit.

This is something I've always believed. If you're a 100 and eating donuts and smoking cigars, keep on eating the donuts and smoking the cigars! They brought you this far and if you stop you'll probably die.
