What’s Been Your Worst Customer Service Experience?

That's a tossup between trying to get a Blue and White cab to pick me up (which they never did, I ended up cancelling) and the last time I got my hair cut at Great Clips.

The customer service agents at Blue and White kept stringing me along, telling me that there was a cab just 15 minutes away, until someone was finally honest with me and told me that there wouldn't be a cab coming for at least three hours because of the bad weather. The one who finally told me the truth was a kid who couldn't have been a day over 16. He was very patronizing and made it clear how stupid he thought I was to have thought that a cab was ever going to come.

As for the woman who cut my hair at Great Clips, when we were going to the sink where she was going to cut my hair, she pulled on it very hard, and I could feel some of my hairs popping out of my head. I asked her to please be gentle and not pull so hard, but she said, "With hair this long, I have to pull hard, and some hairs are going to come out." She was very rough with me when she was combing out my hair, and she insisted on parting it in the middle when she cut it, even though I asked her to part it on the left side, directly over my left eye. She said I could part my hair wherever I wanted after she had finished, but that she had to part it in the middle because that was best. And she said she didn't have time to be gentle with me because she had another customer coming soon. However, she did have time to take a personal call, which took about 25 minutes, during which I had to sit perfectly still while I waited for her to come back. Then, when she finally came back, she chattered away to her coworker, who was cutting someone else's hair, and she ended up cutting off several more inches than I wanted her to cut off.

I went back several times to complain and asked for the manager, but they said the manager wasn't in and they didn't know when he would be in, and they had no phone number where I could reach him. So they took my name and phone number and told me that he would call me, which he never did. Needless to say, I haven't been back.

@TeresaRudolph71 wow, the hair cut experience was just awful! Where was the damn humanity, I’m angry after reading that!

@SolitaryPanther Yeah, that was pretty bad. I don't know, I think the woman just didn't see me as someone deserving of respect. It's sad, because I had always had such a good experience at Great Clips until that happened.

@SolitaryPanther Yeah, it used to be much better. I'm beginning to wonder if it was just that one person who was bad, or if things have gone downhill and I'll just have to spend a lot more money at fancy salons in the future.
