A Laotian co-worker brought some type of fruit I’d never had before. I don’t know the name of it, it was kind of round like an apple but smaller and the whole fruit had tiny hard seeds throughout the flesh that you had to spit out as you carefully chewed the fruit, and you had to be careful chewing because those seeds were hard enough to crack a tooth. It wasn’t near as flavorful as an apple and a lot of work to eat one small piece of it. I don’t even know why they ate that fruit unless it was the only thing they had to eat at the time.

@Dancingxghost it had the texture of an apple but with tiny hard seeds scattered through the flesh, and it wasn’t sweet as an apple.
