@DrWatson I extend my condolences.
Well, my mother liked milk
and she also liked tea, pretty sure it was with honey and lemon (this is how my dad takes his tea).
But, I am not certain.
I'd have to ask my dad whether or not she drank coffee, I think she did, but it's kinda vague.
Which is weird.
My recall is not as it ought to be, but that's understandable.
But yeah, she left us too suddenly and it was terrible for her. Really bad for us too. I was kind of slipping in and out of nearly going out of my mind. I won't bother to explain it; I have C-PTSD and so, I am susceptible probably more so than the average person. But, she is/was MY MOTHER: I think, by default that makes me really susceptible, no matter the other stuff.
After My Mama left us, my dad got rid of A LOT of her things, unbeknownst to me. I went ballistic. Not directed at him.
I was in her room and crying, screaming and wailing; it was like a movie. A very sad drama movie, with no happy ending.

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON Oh, I can certainly understand your reaction to your dad getting rid of her things. I don't think someone needs to have C-PSTD in order to have that reaction.
Thank you for your condolences. My mom had been in hospice care, and she was 96 when she died, so this was not sudden for us, the way it was for you.
Reading your reply got me to read your profile a bit more carefully, and I was taken by that quote by Nikita Gill. It was just what I needed to read, after some musings about my life I was doing last night . Thank you.

@DrWatson Thanks for the nice words. 🌷
I drink tea 24/7 every day
and every season 😃🍵😍🥳
Green tea, with natural berry and fruit infusions.
Sooooooooo YUM!😋
Second, is Earl Grey with milk and honey or sugar.
And lastly, whatever else I want.
Maybe Jasmine :)

@DrWatson That sounds like me.
We have this thing here, called *chai* tea.
It is made from cinnamon, cloves various sweet spices.
Ok, this is from the company:
"Masala Chai evokes the sensual experience of traditional Indian Chai.
Masala Chai is made of a blending of choice Indian teas and aromatic spices including cloves, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper"
It's basically a TEA-Dessert 🤩...
The thing is that chai means Tea in my native Russian.
Tea = Чай Ч= CH а= A й= (y)I
I have it in my cupboard. Along with at least 20 different other kinds of TEA!!!😆😂😂😂🥳

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON We have Chai too, and I like that now and then. The tea I was drinking when I answered you has more of a black tea taste, plus the cinnamon. It is less sweet than Chai.

Red Rose
@DrWatsonRe. Red Rose: We carry it in my county 🙂.
It is so interesting to me that Orange Pekoe teas are soooo vastly different in flavour.
Or even say Oolong teas, from the same province in China;
But the tastes are worlds apart.
One I love. Another I hate.

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON I know what you mean. Even two of the "same" kind of tea can be quite different. I recently bought some Assam which I do not like as much as other Assam teas I have had. But....the mystery of tea is part of its appeal!
@DrWatson It's true. 😃
But when it's so terrible it tastes like yukky icky stale water? 😳🤮
That was the worst tea ever, again, my Oolong experience.
I managed to get my money back...From a store
with a no refund policy...Yeayyyy meee!!! 😏😆🥂👏🏼🥳😌

@Nyloncapes Hey. How cool is that!? 😎

Right now I am drinking a cup of Celestial Seasonings Peach Passion with sugar. It's sort of like having a breakfast pastry. 😃 But when I want caffeine, I drink PG tips (now). Our friend Valentine recommended it, so I found it online, and it is very strong tea.

Several kinds: orange and spice, raspberry and jasmine.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@abooklover I like jasmine. My wife is a big fan of orange and spice.

@DrWatson Lovely choices.

Loose leaf, combination of White/Green tea and spearmint tea..
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@polyandrym66 I am fortunate to have a few very nice shops nearby where I can buy loose leaf teas.

@DrWatson I have to drive over an hour one way to an Amish store that sells bulk food and carries many varieties of teas and dried herbs for teas... But it is worth it once a month.. We store them in canning jars while using them.
You are lucky.. Tea stores are hard to find, and even the Asian ones here are so specialized that we do not go to them anymore..
We grind many of the dried herbs and even some of the course teas with a coffee bean grinder and a magic bullet (built for smoothies)...
