what is a secret menu and how can a menu be secret?

what is a secret menu and how can a menu be a secret? the whole point of a menu is to advertise what food they have if its a secret then no one will ever see that option and that food will not be made.

My kids look them up on Google or YouTube. I think most restaurants have one but yes is it really a secret if anyone can find it online
