Is presentation important to you when it comes to food ?

For example, do you take presentation into consideration when cooking for someone or if someone were to cook for you?

I'm not particularly great at presentation but I recognize it's important. If something looks good, people will enjoy the meal more.

So if I go out to eat and there's been serious effort put into presentation I'll absolutely think highly of that.

And a key thing is presentation should look delicious. If it just looks ornamental the point has been missed.
@CountScrofula and edible.
@CountScrofula yes, I agree that’s what I’m mainly referring to. It looking delicious not necessarily it decorated fancy like 😆
@CountScrofula I went with a friend to a new restaurant in town, advertised as not fancy, but elegant. When my order of flank steak arrived, the chef, presumably, had sprinkled those hard little silver tooth-breaking ball besring cookie decorations around the steak and the leaf of Romaine it was wilting. Hmm...elegant, eh? The steak was good, though.

@Mamapolo2016 Yikes. Well glad it was a tasty flank steak, but that sounds like a failure on the garnishes.
@CountScrofula Yes. Who's designing the plates? The Beav?
