Did you know lobster was considered a food meant for poor people back in the day?

Back in the day they were so plentiful yes poor people are it as a meat substitute but prisoners were given lobsters as well for their daily meals.now as the species are not as plentiful demand has caused prices to go up.

I had it a few times living in nova Scotia it was common.
