Have you ever made beer gravy?

I just made a smoked pork loin a bit ago, letting it soak in beer while it smoked, and once it was done I turned the pork infused beer into a gravy just using a simple dark roux to thicken it up, some salt and a heavy dose of black pepper. [i]Man was it good.[/i]
