@SteelHands Had a neighbor in a small village in Missouri who was a Jack-of-all-trades. He trapped in the winter and sold the furs. One day he found a skunk in one of his traps and skinned it and took the carcass home and told his wife he was gonna freeze it and eat it later. It was a joke but she took it seriously and told him to take the skunk out of the freezer and get rid of it. He wouldn't let it go, extended the joke to the point they fought and he ended up moving into his Quonset hut down the block, the hut where he did mechanic work. He laughed when he talked about. And his wife said "I still love him but we can't live together". I think it was just his way of having a man-cave back in the 60's.

@cherokeepatti Great story. The 60s adults were sure lots of ways different from the sour grown ups of today.

@SteelHands Not a lot of job opportunities unless you did farm work so he made his own jobs, kept bees and sold honey, make engraved wooden signs, etc. He did a lot of things. Looked like a small Grizzly Adams and always had a smile on his face.
